Al began his career with The Bridge as a Residential Treatment Aid in 2001. Shortly afterwards, he was promoted to the position of Counselor in the Mobile Recovery Center for Teens (RTC) program. In 2005 he worked in conjunction with the Strickland Youth Center in implementing the Mobile County Juvenile Drug Court. In 2007, Al was transferred to a Residential Counselor position on the Mobile Campus. In November 2009, he was promoted to Program Manager for Bayview and is now serving as the Program Manager for the Westwood Program..
Al has a Master of Science in Counseling/Psychology from University of West Alabama. He is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Professional (CADP); and an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC). Al’s previous professional work experience includes: A.P. Brewer Developmental Center, Decatur General Hospital-Behavioral Medicine Center, Three Springs Residential Treatment Center, Children Comprehensive Services, and Heritage Hospital. He is currently pursuing his ALC.
