Therapist (QSAP I) Adolescent OP - Robertsdale, AL
We are looking for a qualified person who desires to positively impact adolescents in Etowah County (Gadsden area). This person would also be serving DeKalb, Calhoun, and Cherokee Counties in Alabama.
Among many benefits, we offer paid supervision for qualified licensure candidates and supplemental pay for substance abuse certification and Alabama ALC or MFTA license, and LMFT, LPC, LMSW, and LICSW.

Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Conduct diagnostic interview examinations and perform thorough psycho-social and placement assessments to reflect accurate diagnosis or diagnostic impression
  • Develop and implement service plans
  • Identify and conduct appropriate referrals
  • Provide direct support service to individual clients, small groups, and classrooms
  • Required to telework (work from an alternative location) as infection control or prevention strategy and provide telehealth services in a responsible manner that provides for client confidentiality requirements
  • Willing to work with families and clients during non-traditional hours
  • Provide clinical services in individual, group, and family therapy mode
  • Provide case management assessment and intervention services for the coordination of continuing care
  • Provide consultation for school staff regarding client substance / co-occurring issues
  • Provide and participate in school system professional development workshops on topics relevant to substance abuse / co-occurring symptoms, treatment, and other related issues
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with treatment community, juvenile probation department, and other necessary and relevant agencies and organizations
  • Meet service level requirements sufficient to meet operational viability, client needs, and school system expectations
  • Complete all required client file documentation in the electronic health record within deadlines
  • Provide transportation for clients in company vehicle following all procedures and protocols for safety and security
  • General clerical duties
Required Skills
 
  • Master's degree in a clinical area (i.e., psychology, social work, counseling, marriage, and family) OR other behavioral health areas with requisite coursework equivalent to that of a degree in above
  • Must have a practicum/internship from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education OR have six (6) month's post master's clinical experience
  • Secure and maintain CPR and First Aide certification within thirty (30) days of the date of hire
  • Obtain the case management certification through ADMH before completion of the probationary period and before billing case management services
  • Must be SA certified according to ADMH standards within 30 months from date of hire OR licensure as a professional counselor (LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or LICSW)
Other Job Requirements
  • Valid Alabama driver's license and acceptable driving record with proof of personal vehicle insurance
  • Have access to personal transportation to meet with client caseload regularly at home, school, and/or job locations
